‘As we announced at the end of last year, the three charities that Fire Depot has chosen to fundraise for this year are Mind, NSPCC and the Rapid Relief Team (RRT).
‘Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. The charity campaigns to improve services, raise awareness, promote understanding. For over 60 years, it has worked to improve the lives of all people with experience of mental health problems and has touched millions of lives thanks to its public campaigns, government lobbying and 1000+ services local Minds have delivered in communities across England and Wales.
‘The NSPCC is the UK's leading children’s charity and has been looking out for children for over 130 years. Between 2016 and 2021, they helped to make over 6.6 million children safer from abuse, nevertheless child abuse and neglect continues every day, in every walk of life, all around the UK. At least two children in every primary school classroom have experienced abuse or neglect. By the time they turn 18, that number rises to at least 4.
‘From assisting charities, both big and small, to raise funds and awareness, to serving emergency services on the front line, RRT steps in to lend a helping hand. The charity’s support spans across four key areas; emergency and disaster relief, homelessness, youth, and health and disability and a wide range of charities benefit from its work.
‘We trust you will agree that our chosen charities are all more than deserving of every penny we can raise for them, and we hope we can rely on your generous support as in previous years. We will be announcing our fundraising plans soon, so keep an eye out!”
