Fire Depot is delighted to announce that Sean Hutchinson has joined the team as Procurement and Supply Manager. Sean is the second new member of the Supply Chain team and will be working with Megan Pollard, who has moved from her previous role in Customer Service to become Supply Chain Co-Ordinator.
Sean comes to the company as procurement professional with 30 years’ experience. A CIPS member since 2006, he has worked in a variety of industries including Petrochemical, Engineering, Automotive, Business Supplies Distribution and Water Industry Services. He believes that it is this experience which has given him the breadth of knowledge to move between industries with ease. He is looking forward to working with Fire Depot’s supply partners and to being able to use his extensive knowledge and experience to bring process improvements to the purchasing and supply function, as well as the wider business.
Sean is married and has two grown up sons aged 19 and 21. Outside of work he enjoys rowing in his home gym which he does to keep fit, having given up running after successfully completing a challenge to run 1000km last year! He also enjoys live music and is an avid ‘audiophile.’ His happy place is the room in his home which is dedicated to housing his collection of hi-fi equipment and growing collection of vinyl records, the most prized being Joan Armatrading’s third album named ‘Joan Armatrading.’
Sean would best describe himself as methodical, considerate, open-minded, and entrepreneurial.
