Last Saturday saw a new use for Firechief XTR extinguishers – a powder colour bomb! Members of the Fire Depot team offered voluntary support for the St. Barnabas Colour Dash run at the Lincolnshire Showground. The event involved a five kilometre run during which runners get showered with coloured powder. Generally, the colour is thrown by hand or with cups and bottles but the Firechief extinguishers added an extra dimension! Vivid power shot into the air (as we know it does with extinguishers!) creating a huge cloud and greatly adding to the lively atmosphere of the day! See them in action in the video below:

St. Barnabas Hospice is a long established charity providing help and support to the elderly in our community. The colour dash run raised more than £100,000 for the charity – not to be sniffed at!
“It was an incredible day” remarked George Graham, one of the Fire Depot team who helped at the event. “The atmosphere was fantastic and it brought in great results for St. Barnabas. We’re just glad to have been a small support for the day!”
